Banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions across the country have selected Morton Buildings to help them maximize the return on investment in their new construction. Why? Our buildings are durable, completely customizable, and virtually maintenance-free, which allows you to focus on growing your company, not maintaining your building.
Many financial institutions use our Morton designBUILD project delivery method as it provides single-source responsibility, integrated design, collaborative construction planning, and accelerated schedules.
As an experienced bank builder, we work with companies and organizations in various stages of their building project—some have already had plans drawn by an outside architect, some are only in the planning phase, and some are ready for our designers/architects to draw up plans and move forward with construction. No matter what stage you are in currently, we will help guide you to the best possible outcome. We invite you to experience the award-winning Morton Buildings difference.
Not Your Typical Custom Metal Bank Construction. It’s Better.
Post-frame refers to a highly engineered wood-framed structure that can be covered with any exterior. This type of framing system outperforms other building types in any climate or soil condition. Post-frame construction is as flexible as it is strong. Your choices for size, roof style, materials, ceiling systems, flooring, thermal insulation systems, and interior wall configurations are virtually unlimited.
Post-frame buildings perform exceptionally well under tremendous weather extremes including heavy snow, and high winds. You can rest assured that the valuables your customers have stored in safe deposit boxes will be protected.
Although our building components are pre-engineered to your unique specifications, we do not offer building kits. We do provide stamped engineered drawings, allowing for an easier permitting process. This means that you can open the doors to your bank sooner.
From a small neighborhood branch to large headquarters, unlike most steel bank building construction, when you choose Morton, you can customize the exterior to fit your aesthetic preferences. You have the freedom to add windows and doors wherever you want to. You can also customize your bank's exterior with stone, stucco, Hardie siding, steel, or brick to fit your locale.
When planning for new bank construction, it’s important to consider how the following features will be included in the design process:
Teller Stations, Islands, and Auto Teller Machines.
Single or Multi-Floor
Lease Space and Future Growth.
Community Meeting Room
Operational Space Needs
Lobby and Waiting
Offices: Permanent Walls, Cubicles, and Open Desks
Conference and Board Rooms
Files and Record Storage
Morton employs LEED Accredited Professionals to help customers who want to achieve certification. Whether you are looking to achieve official recognition on your project or just want to reduce your carbon footprint during the construction process, Morton can help you achieve sustainable design.
Long before the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) created its building rating system (LEED®- Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), Morton Buildings was already applying a number of sustainable building principles into our general construction practices. We are especially proud of our Energy Performer® insulation package, which continues to meet and exceed efficiency requirements in many states, and provides greater efficiency than alternative metal bank construction options.

Benefits of Building a Bank with Morton
Quality is at the heart of Morton Buildings. Our customers say Quality is the best word to describe their buildings. And after 110 years, we’re still passionate about what we do and delivering a building you can be proud to own. You see, from the smallest fastener, to the trusses overhead, Morton leaves absolutely no detail to chance. Because what you can’t see, matters. We use quality products and sound construction methods that far surpass industry standards. You want a bank building with strength and durability to last and handle the elements—and that’s why our buildings are made with the industry’s toughest steel and best paint available.
The difference between a good building and a great building is craftsmanship. It’s about taking pride in the finished product. It’s about being a professional. Unlike other construction companies, you work with Morton craftsmen from conception to completion. From our plant employees who roll-form the steel, to our construction crews who erect each building, every one of them are Morton employees who take pride in exceeding your expectations.
A warranty is only as good as the company behind it. Our century-old, financially solid company will be there to honor its warranties. Snow damage, wind damage, roof leaks, preservative-treated lumber, paint fading, chipping, peeling, or signs of red rust are not a concern for owners of Morton buildings. Our 50-year snow warranty has no weight limit, where many of our competitors do. And these companies make you jump through hoops with manufacturers when you need to use it. A Morton warranty claim is handled directly in-house, and most-importantly, our warranties are non-prorated and include labor.
