Commercial Storage Buildings in Any Size

If you’re looking for a steel commercial storage building that’s maintenance-free and a construction project that’s trouble-free, Morton Buildings has the best business solution with our proven post-frame construction. With Morton, you can rest assured knowing we have the experience to construct a building where you can professionally and efficiently run your business.

Quality is at the heart of Morton Buildings. From the smallest fastener to the trusses overhead, Morton leaves nothing to chance. Most metal commercial storage building providers use a network of various suppliers to source their materials. Do some research and you’ll find they go with cheaply made parts that cost them less. We don’t build that way. We source and manufacture our own materials. We roll form our own steel, build our own trusses, doors, and so much more. Exceptional quality is the hallmark of a Morton. We’re only as good as our materials so we take full control of the entire process.

In addition, Morton offers a number of features for your commercial storage building or warehouse. Whether you want a building that stands out or are planning for a more basic structure, Morton will work with you to deliver a custom building that meets your needs now and in the future.

Custom Post-Frame Construction. The Better Alternative to Metal Commercial Storage Buildings.

Morton Buildings utilizes post-frame construction, a highly engineered wood-frame building system that features large, laminated columns instead of wood studs, steel framing, or concrete masonry, and that meets local, state and national building codes. Our open floor plans allow you to utilize the space of your building in the best way for your business, while clear-span trusses allow for less construction time without sacrificing quality. And with a variety of exterior and interior options available, you can choose the style you want, inside and out. Plus, our buildings are virtually maintenance-free, which allows you to focus on growing your company, not maintaining your building.

Morton’s hybrid technology allows for clear span buildings up to 150' and are a great alternative to steel commercial storage buildings. Combining the strength and spanning capabilities of steel along with the affordability, design flexibility and energy efficiency of post-frame construction makes Morton’s hybrid buildings the best option for a variety of building applications. These buildings feature pre-engineered steel trusses which allow for a wider building while wood framing provides superior insulating properties and building strength.

  • Standard sizes: 90', 100', 110', 125'
  • Steel trusses set on wood framing
  • 3/12 standard roof pitch
  • Additional interior clearance versus wood trusses
  • Pre-engineered steel, open-webbed truss design
  • Ability to construct buildings that provide greater door clearance, giving you the ability to use bigger doors with shorter walls, allowing for a lower profile building

As with traditional Morton buildings, Morton hybrids offer countless features and options to meet your building needs including porches, overhangs and Morton’s exclusive Energy Performer® insulation package which keeps your building comfortable year-round while keeping utility costs down.

Morton is proud to offer two quality entry-door options for your building. While these doors are best suited for different building uses, they have many similar features that make them superior to other doors on the market:

  • Paint: Unlike other paints, PVDF (polyvinylidene difluoride) is weather and corrosion resistant.
  • Insulation: Some doors use inferior insulation in their slabs, not Morton. Our insulation (polyurethane foam) provides for a higher R-Value than other doors on the market.
  • Installation: Your Morton walkdoor is built and installed by Morton Buildings so you can be confident it will be done right.

In addition to entry-way doors, you may also choose to add larger doors to your commercial storage building. Overhead doors are available in a variety of sizes and styles. Your Morton Buildings sales consultant will work with local subcontractors to recommend an overhead door that best meets your needs. Bi-fold doors in widths up to 70' and one-piece hydraulically operated doors are also available for those large vehicle or equipment applications that require a specialty door.

Acoustical steel is a great feature for offices, dealerships, warehouses or anywhere that machinery and customer traffic cause noise. Morton’s exclusive Hi-Rib™ Acoustical Steel is one of the most efficient sound insulation systems in the construction industry. Installed in a band around or in the ceiling, Hi-Rib Acoustical Steel allows sound waves to pass into sound-absorbent materials in the wall and ceiling cavities, which significantly improves the sound quality in your building.

Our FLUOROFLEX™ paint system adds to the beauty of your commercial storage building while contributing to the strength and longevity of its appearance. With a variety of color choices, your buildings can reflect your style and remain looking like new for years to come.

The benefits of FLUOROFLEX include:

  • 70% PVDF top coat: The "color" coat adds beauty and is weather and corrosion resistant.
  • Primer coat: Promotes adhesion of the top coat, provides corrosion protection and flexibility
  • Pretreatment layer: Prepares the surface for paint while providing additional corrosion resistance
  • Protective metallic coating: Protects against rust
  • Polyester top coat: Provides a bright, reflective surface on the backside of the steel
