Growing Together: The Creation of a Central Illinois Daycare Center

Prelude Kids Center is a nature-based childcare center located on 25 acres in central Illinois serving birth through school-aged children. The center officially opened in April of 2025, but the idea sparked two years prior during a caregiver meeting at the local library. There was concern within the community about a lack of childcare in the area and one individual at the meeting took on this challenge. Heather, now owner of Prelude Kids Center, left the meeting that night with a plan to start reaching out to builders, and now this vision is a reality.

She selected Morton Buildings for the project because of a better overall process, a better building structure, and long-term return on her vision for the facility.
