Building a Home for History
The Mitchell County Historical Society maintains several historical sites across the county, but their primary home is the new Mitchell County Historical Museum built by Morton Buildings in September of 2025 in northern Iowa. This facility houses more than 12,000 artifacts and provides direct access to an extensive display of early farm equipment.
