A 35-Year Paint Warranty That Can’t be Beat

August 10, 2018

You have a brand new, shiny, beautiful building.  But then time and weather beat down on it.  How does your building look after 5, 15, 25 years?  Normal exposure can lead to paint failures such as rusting, flaking, peeling, or chalking.

Now that it’s time to replace your roof, what are your options? Will the company who constructed your building stand behind it? Will your insurance company assist? These are the questions many are faced with and the cost to replace a roof out-of-pocket can be a very large expense!

The solution is to do some research and ask very specific questions before you build.  Paint failure is not covered by many contractors’ warranties in the marketplace today.  Most warranties are provided by the material supplier and not the contractor. Typically, they are for material only (you pay for labor or do it yourself) and pro-rated.  This leaves you pretty much unprotected within just a few short years and isn’t much of a warranty.

Morton Buildings operates in a much different way and is the exception when it comes to standing by its product.  Several paint warranties exist based on paint type, building type, and use.  But generally, most of our buildings come with a 35-YEAR warranty that includes:

  • Morton will repaint/replace exterior FLUOROFLEX® metal roof or siding panels manufactured by Morton where the paint has separated from the panels due to flaking or peeling
  • Morton will repaint/replace exterior FLUOROFLEX® metal roof or siding panels manufactured by Morton that exhibit chalking

In addition, we offer a 20-YEAR warranty that includes:

  • Morton will repaint/replace exterior FLUOROFLEX® metal roof and siding panels manufactured by Morton which exhibit corrosion resulting in red rust, which is clearly visible in casual observation

These are dramatic long-term benefits for Morton owners!  As we manufacture most components for our buildings, as well as construct the buildings, it is in our best interest as a company to deliver a high-quality product with an even better warranty.  Our warranties are handled in-house, include materials and labor, and are not prorated. You call us and we take care of you.  A Morton warranty really can’t be beat.
